ABSTRACT
✓ Quantitative autoradiographic technique was applied in measuring blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability of autochthonous gliomas rats. In small tumors (less than 2 mm diameter), no increase BBB noted. As the tumor grew and neovascularization occurred, increased center tumor, it suggested that partly disrupted neovascularized vessels. fully grown tumors, markedly viable part to levels similar choroid plexus. Yet, preserved at periphery brain adjacent tumor. The heterogeneity phenomenon according stage growth may be a major obstacle for uptake chemotherapeutic drugs do not cross easily.
