Two-Stage Flexor Pollicis Longus Tendon Reconstruction Using Pedicled Palmaris Longus Tendon Graft

ABSTRACT
Background.Free tendon grafts are frequently used in zone 2 flexor pollicis longus reconstructions.However, pedicled have less risk of adhesion than free grafts.The aim this study was to evaluate the results two-stage reconstruction using a palmaris graft.Methods.Six patients who underwent graft between 2016 and 2018 were retrospectively evaluated study.The mean follow-up 17 months (range: 13-25 months).Results.In final follow-ups, Buck-Gramcko score excellent three patients, good two fair one patient.Mean Disabilities Arm, Shoulder Hand 12.9 (8.3-26.7).Conclusions.We conclude that can be achieved with graft.This method appears an alternative for graft.
