ABSTRACT
The objective of the research was to analyze competitiveness vegetables in Mexico. Mexican production has lost relative importance over time international market. Its participation agri-food exports decreased from 32 25% (1993-2009). In addition, farmers have had problems profitability. Between 1980 and 2009, index prices for brocoli, red tomato, green tomato grew 157, 132 208% respectively, while farmer were reduced, broccoli 19%, 16% 53% (1980-2009). According competitive advantage revealed additive, always been a positive index, nevertheless, tendency is decreasing. USA, it grown. Mexico main supplier but must diversify destiny its exports. At national level, growth productivity intensive, this can change, by problems.
