ABSTRACT
Mercury is a dangerous and toxic material, persistent, bioaccumulates, harmful to human health. used in the gold processing process using amalgamation method carried out by people mining without permits. Exposure mercury can occur through direct contact with skin inhalation of vapor. exposure body be analyzed hair, So this study aims determine levels that accumulate hair mine workers impact content on health problems Malomba Village. The samples were destroyed H2SO4, HNO3: HCl (1:3) cold vapor type Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (CV-AAS) at wavelength 253,7 nm. results obtained are, highest level was 9,82 μg/g, lowest -0,10 μg/g control sample 3,91 μg/g. limit according WHO 1 so respondents KL does not exceed threshold, while other 9 provisions threshold there are 2 who have symptoms exposure, namely respondent YP showing form tremors, frequent tingling, itching, weakness taste buds, difficulty swallowing, diarrhea, headaches, OP showed easy fatigue, headaches eye irritation.
