The aim of the research was to evaluate growth and production sweet corn ( Zea mays sacharata Sturt. L) planted at various distance land preparation (soil tillage prior to planting). treatments were arranged in split plot design with three replication. study consists two factors, as main time soil planting (one seven days) whereas sub consist four different spaces : 70cm x 10cm, 20cm, 30cm dan 40cm. Result showed that plant spacing 70cm 40cm performs significant effect on number leaves, stem diameter, cob per plant, but not flowering cobs plot. interaction between space had no height, days flowering, plot, weight plant.
