ABSTRACTThis study aims to know the effect of weeding time on growth and production some varietiesof sorghum in Pasar 1 street Tanjung Sari, Medan, with ± 25 meters altitude above sea level inJuly – November 2012. The design use Factorial Separated Design Frame 2 aspects. firstaspect as a main frame is variety (Sangkur, Kawali, Numbu) second factor subordinateframe (clean during research, weeded after 7 days planting, 14days 21 28 without weedingprocess). parameters measured were plant height, number leaves, flowering, canopy wetweight, per sample, plot, ha, weight 1000 seeds.From varieties significantly affect height (4-8 weeks planting), ofleaves (6 8 wet weight, sample,production hectare, seeds.Weeding onplant planting) leaves (2-8 ofthe canopy, of1000 seeds.
