ABSTRACT
This article aims to analyse the European pig sector and its transformations (e.g. vertical integration phase specialization).In particular, we will both explore specialization territorial concentration of production, significant changes which have taken place in trade among Union countries. Using network analysis (betweenness centrality, node strength community detection) applied Eurostat fao datasets on production period 2000-2016, show emergence national players international connections that lead a larger continental market. Finally, this evidence be used discussion conclusion raise wider concerning working agrifoodvalue chains, terms social, economic environmental sustainability, as well regulation. calls for more interdisciplinary analyses value chains.
