ABSTRACT
To compare the effectiveness of two varieties special needs toothbrushes in terms dental plaque removal and bacterial contamination vs a conventional toothbrush patients with Down syndrome.This single-blinded, two-group, randomised clinical trial included 16 diagnosed syndrome (age 6-15 years) from various centers located Jazan Province Saudi Arabia. The were randomly allocated to groups based on type provided (Collis Curve or superfine nano). bleeding indices both measured at baseline (T0) initially given use for four weeks. After this period, re-evaluated (T1). instructed 4 weeks, after which periodontal (T2). Microbial bristles brushes was evaluated T2.No notable changes mean observed between each visit; however, statistically significant reductions noted visits (p < 0.05). CFU scores cultures Collis (1411.5 ± 541.1) higher than those obtained nano-toothbrush (1118.3 423.9), but without differences.The findings indicate that can significantly improve gingival health status individuals resolution inflammation reduction accumulation.
