ABSTRACT
Foreign body aspiration is a common and potentially dangerous event in young children, often leading to emergency department visits. Our case study presents 2-year-old boy who aspirated multiple nuts, choking respiratory distress. The child initially experienced cyanosis was later found have decreased air entry on the right side of chest, prompting need for bronchoscopy. initial tolerance procedure low, with frequent loss saturation, despite attempts, bilateral deep nature foreign resulted being intubated admitted Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Over following days, underwent combined bronchoscopies, utilizing flexible rigid staged approach clear lungs. This treatment alongside antibiotics dexamethasone inflammation infection prevention. behavioral changes post-extubation, managed psychiatric support physiotherapy. emphasizes early intervention, importance an interventional toolkit, and, at times, multidisciplinary or approaches ensure complete recovery from incidents children.
