ABSTRACT
Bhawal National Park (BNP) is one of the biologically historic and rich habitats in Bangladesh. Therefore, study aimed to assess current management strategies BNP for sustainable biodiversity conservation along with investigations focusing underlying causes deforestation losses. A structured questionnaire survey, interview, focused group discussions (FGDs), key informant interviews (KII), literature survey were used as research tools. The results reveal some threats park management, such its proximity urban areas, encroachment, abundance private land within boundaries, pressure rapid industrialization. It found that extensive fuelwood collection, industrial setup, agricultural activities, forest fire, wood collection are significant loss. Moreover, number species plants wildlife has decreased roughly by one-third one-half, respectively. findings this valuable apart from formulating relevant strategies, planning, policies protected areas
