ABSTRACT
Two new salicyl based Schiff bases derived from 3,5-dichlorosalicylaldehyde and 4-(chloro/tert-butyl)-2-aminophenols (H2L1 H2L2) their complexes with cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), zinc(II), palladium(II), {[M(Ln)(H2O)]∙xH2O, M(II) = Co(II) (n 1, 2; x 1), Ni(II) n 2, 0), Cu(II) Zn(II) 0); K[Pd(Ln)Cl]; 2}, were synthesized characterized. The structural characteristics of the examined by means elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic moment, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), UV-visible, FT-IR, NMR spectroscopy. In addition, crystal structures H2L1 H2L2 determined X-ray single diffraction measurements. All are non-electrolyte 1:1 M:L ratio. Antibacterial antifungal activity compounds was evaluated against six bacteria three fungi. general, all showed moderate antimicrobial activity. Some exhibited higher towards some microorganisms than ligands. Antiviral tested Parainfluenza Type-2 virus. fact that has a antiviral effect can be as tert-butyl group promotes effect.
