ABSTRACT
AimTo assess awareness and use of evidence-based medicine (EBM) databases The Cochrane Library among physicians in Croatia.MethodsA cross-sectional study with a telephone survey was performed 573 (88.6% response rate from 647 contacted physicians) family practice 4 major university hospital centers Croatia. main outcome measures were physicians' Collaboration, Library, access to EBM databases, internet at work.ResultsOverall, 54% respondents said they had but when asked which used, named mostly non-EBM databases. question on the highest level evidence correctly answered by 53% respondents, 30% heard 34% about Library. They obtained information colleagues research articles, whereas gained mainly during continuous medical education. There more who thought could help them (58%) than those (30%). Only 20% initiative for establishment Croatian branch Collaboration.
