ABSTRACT
Population based cancer screening was initiated in India 2016 owing to an increased burden of cancers.A feasibility health system study done by utilising community workers (CHWs) conduct the screening.The current is a qualitative elicit barriers and facilitators implementing population through CHWs.The conducted at three subcentres Dholai block Cachar district, Assam, Cancer Hospital Research Center, Silchar.The participants were CHWs, master trainer nurses women from community.Three focus group discussions (FGDs) one in-depth interview (IDI) provider level seven IDIs community.The FGDs audio recorded after taking verbal consent participants.The verbatims prepared following translation transcription data analysis using ATLAS ti ver 8.The major barrier faced lack motivation get screened which stemmed various factors such as personal beliefs, attitudes fear.The accessibility tests, family support CHWs service providers.The for difficulty motivating community, supervisors work.The convenience during home visits, empowerment, skill enhancement teamwork.Population new concept under study.Cancer well accepted community.Awareness generation among factor improving coverage.The highlights that training can improve uptake services.CHWs felt empowered with skills imparted able carry out screening.
