ABSTRACT
Purpose: To report a case of paraneoplastic autoimmune retinopathy in patient with history testicular cancer.Case summary: A 29-year-old man presented photopsia and floaters. Initial fundus examination revealed no abnormal findings. However, he returned 1 month later complaints visual field defects. Fundus diffuse white spots the macula midperipheral retina autofluorescence demonstrated hyper-autofluorescence. Optical coherence tomography showed disruption ellipsoid zone sparing fovea. Visual peripheral defects an electroretinogram reduced rod cone cell responses. Considering his cancer, serum autoantibody panel testing was performed which borderline levels anti-recoverin antibody leading to diagnosis retinopathy. The treated oral steroids mycophenolate mofetil for year. there improvement subjective symptoms or ophthalmologic findings.Conclusions: This young cancer highlights early clinical presentation disease. It is crucial recognize that initial can be nonspecific.
