ABSTRACT
A nasal septal abscess results from the collection of purulent fluid between cartilage bony septum and overlying mucoperichondrium or mucoperiosteum. Unless early diagnosis surgical treatment are performed, serious complications such as cavernous sinus thrombophlebitis, sepsis, saddle nose may occur. We report a case sphenoid sinusitis that occurred after dental implant. 74-year-old female with diabetes liver cirrhosis was referred to hospital for management rapidly aggravated perinasal pain, obstruction, headache. The patient had undergone implant in right upper incisor area 6 days ago. CT revealed bilateral sinusitis. operated upon drain abscess, both sinuses were opened widely.
