ABSTRACT
The purpose of the present study is to determine whether lumbrokinase has an in vivo thrombolytic effect a rabbit cerebral embolism model. In our previous studies, we found that lumbrokinase, extract from Korean earth worms, strong vitro fibrinolytic without presence plasminogen and significant effects rat human-clot-induced We established model rabbits by injecting piece human clot into internal carotid artery via external confirmed occlusion with angiography. Twenty one were divided three groups 5cc saline, urokinase 50,000 u/ml, equipotent LK injected intraarterially for 30 minutes each group 7 animals. Ten after end infusion, angiogram was performed confirm recanalization. Clot lysis occurred one, six, animals treated respectively. With regard its effect, not as potent vivo. Further investigation should be cause weakened develop method potentiate it.
