ABSTRACT
There are several differences in the clinical course of hypertension due to biological and social between men women. Resistant is an advanced disease state, significant gender difference could be expected, but much has not been revealed yet. The purpose this study was compare on current status blood pressure (BP) control prognosis patients with resistant hypertension.This a multicenter, retrospective cohort using common data model databases 3 tertiary hospitals Korea. Total 4,926 were selected from January 2017 December 2018. Occurrence dialysis, heart failure (HF) hospitalization, myocardial infarction, stroke, dementia or all-cause mortality followed up for years.Male younger had higher cardiovascular risk than female patients. Prevalence left ventricular hypertrophy proteinuria On-treatment diastolic BP lower women target achievement rate men. During years, incidence dialysis infarction men, stroke After adjustment, male sex independent factor HF death.In hypertension, women, end-organ damage more event higher. More intensive prevention strategies may required hypertension.
