Evaluation of Burnout and Contributing Factors in Imaging Cardiologists in Korea

ABSTRACT
We aimed to examine the prevalence of burnout among imaging cardiologists in Korea and identify its associated factors. An online survey affiliated with university hospitals was conducted using SurveyMonkey® November 2023. The validated Korean version Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Service Survey used assess across three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, lack personal accomplishment. Data on demographics, work environment factors, job satisfaction were collected structured questionnaires. A total 128 (46.1% men; 76.6% aged ≤ 50 years) participated survey. Regarding workload, 74.2% respondents interpreted over echocardiographic examinations daily, 53.2% allocated > 5 10 working sessions per week laboratory duties. levels high, a significant proportion participants experiencing exhaustion (28.1%), depersonalization (63.3%), accomplishment (92.2%).
