ABSTRACT
Objective: To investigate the validity of 100 kVp setting in CT venography (CTV) diagnosis deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and to evaluate feasibility reducing amount administered iodine this setting.Materials Methods: After receiving contrast medium (CM) 2.0 mL/kg, 88 patients underwent CTV pelvis lower extremities by using one four protocols: Group A, 120 370 mgI/mL CM; group B, 300 mgI/mL; C, D, mgI/mL.The groups were evaluated for venous attenuation, vein-to-muscle contrast-to-noise ratio (CNRVEIN), DVT-to-vein (CNRDVT), subjective degree enhancement image quality. Results: Venous attenuation CNRVEIN significantly higher C (144.3 Hounsfield unit [HU] 11.9), but there was no significant difference between A (118.0 HU 8.2) D (122.4 7.9).The value DVT not different among groups, had a absolute CNRDVT than other groups. The overall diagnostic quality D. Conclusion:The substantially help improve CNRVEIN.Furthermore, it enables reduce while maintaining as compared with setting.
