ABSTRACT
The quantitative analysis of plant diversity was explored on a seasonal tropical wetland forest ecosystem at Ratargul Swamp Forest. simple random sampling protocol adopted, and 30 plots (10 m×10 m) each with one subplot (2 m×2 investigated for the vegetation survey. study found about 539 individuals 48 species belonging to 36 families. Poaceae dominant among all family. upper (trees size) lower (shrubs, herbs, climbers, grasses) stratum dominated by Pongamia pinnata Clinogyne dicotoma, respectively. taxonomic moderate in both strata. value floristic quality index calculated 19.92, which represents vegetative quality. outcome also revealed disturbances influenced community, mostly due branch cutting human (<30%). findings will be useful conservation scientific management biodiversity as hotspot system. Keywords: Biodiversity, conservatism, disturbance, hotspot,
