ABSTRACT
Brazil stands out in the ranking of broiler chicken production, holding positions world's largest exporter and third producer, scores that demand continuous attention to market requirements with regard product quality, including search for alternative sources feed ingredients. This research's goal was examine effects using Rubrivivax gelatinosus biomass broilers on proximate composition, cholesterol content, fatty acid profile meat cuts. Two hundred Cobb 500 male chicks were randomly assigned one 4 dietary treatments containing zero, one, 2 or 3 g dried R. per kg finisher ration. At end experiment, 20 birds from each treatment slaughtered their carcasses cut into breast thigh analyses cholesterol, acids, all performed by standard methodologies. Data analyzed ANOVA t test multiple comparisons means 5% significance. Proximate composition concentration both meats did not differ among (P > 0.05). The at g/kg diet increased EPA but decreased it thigh. Nevertheless, no altered ratio n-6/n-3 either cut. Thus, use broilers' rations shown be harmless even beneficial composition.
