ABSTRACT
Background: The functional movement screen (FMS) has been used to identify deficiencies in neuromuscular capabilities and balance among athletes. However, its effectiveness detecting anomalies within the population afflicted by knee osteoarthritis (KOA), particularly through application of a family-oriented objective assessment technique, remains unexplored. this study is investigate sensitivity FMS daily activities identifying kinematic abnormalities KOA people employing markerless motion capture system. Methods: A total 45 persons, presenting various Kellgren–Lawrence grades KOA, along with 15 healthy controls, completed five tasks (deep squat, hurdle step, in-line lunge) (walking sit-to-stand), which were recorded using waveforms discrete parameters subjected comparative analysis. Results: Notably, exhibited greater compared activities, flexion, trunk sagittal, frontal angles during lunge emerging as most responsive indicators. Conclusion: assessed via technique hold promise potential indicators for KOA.
