ABSTRACT
Pi-Dan-Jian-Qing decoction (PDJQ) can been used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) clinic. However, protective mechanisms PDJQ on T2DM remain unknown. Recent studies have shown that changes gut microbiota could affect host metabolism and contribute to progression T2DM. In this study, we first investigated therapeutic effects rats. 16S rRNA sequencing untargeted metabolomics analyses were investigate action Our results showed improve hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, insulin resistance (IR) pathological liver, pancreas, kidney, colon also decrease levels pro-inflammatory cytokines inhibit oxidative stress. Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ( F B ) ratio at phylum level. At genus level, increase relative abundances Lactobacillus , Blautia, Bacteroides, Desulfovibrio Akkermansia abundance Prevotella . Serum analysis regulate tryptophan metabolism, histidine tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, phenylalanine, tyrosine biosynthesis pathways. Correlation indicated modulatory TCA cycle pathways related alterations Bacteroides conclusion, our study revealed various ameliorative T2DM, including improving liver kidney functions alleviating IR, changes, stress inflammatory response. The are likely linked an improvement dysbiosis modulation histamine cycle.
