Comparative proteomics analysis of adult Haemonchus contortus isolates from Ovis ammon

ABSTRACT
Haemonchus contortus is an important parasite that causes disease seriously endangers ruminant animals cattle, sheep, goat, and camel. Here, we compared the proeomics analysis of three adult isolates from mouflons ( Ovis ammon ). A total 1,299 worm proteins were identified, 461 quantified, which 82 (108), 83 (97), 97 (86) significantly upregulated (downregulated) differentially expressed (DEPs) detected among pairwise comparisons (1-vs.-3, 2-vs.-3, 2-vs.-1). Liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC−MS/MS) bioinformatic indicated these DEPs are mainly concentrated in cellular composition, molecular function, biological catabolism pathways. In addition, Gene Ontology (GO) classification Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses carried out to screen DEPs. The main processes involved nucleotide, nucleotide phosphate, ribonucleotide, purine-containing compound, purine single-organism, oxoacid, organic, carboxylic, oxoacid metabolic single-organism catabolic processes. majority KEGG pathways found be related pathways, biosynthesis secondary metabolites, antibiotics, carbon metabolism, microbial metabolism diverse environments. Moreover, also differences expression some or novel regulatory proteases, such as serine hydroxymethyl transferase (SHMT), dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase (DLD), transket pyr domain-containing protein (TKPD). summary, label-free proteomic H. worms displayed significant different individual isolates, helps improve our understanding growth mechanisms individuals relative natural environments provides drug targets for treatment parasitic diseases.
