ABSTRACT
Transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) is thought to be a promising technique and instrument for treating carotid stenosis with favorable outcomes. Since there remain several differences in anatomic characteristics among races, this study was conducted investigate the eligibility of TCAR Chinese patients who underwent revascularization.A retrospective review from 2019 2021 conducted. The based on instruction ENROUTE Neuroprotection System. configuration circle Willis (CoW) were evaluated by CT angiography. demographic clinical procedure-related complications recorded. Logistic regression used analyze independent factors eligibility.Of 289 consecutive [222 endarterectomy (CEA) 67 transfemoral stenting (TF-CAS)] identified, total 215 (74.4%) met eligibility. Specifically, 83.7% had mild common (CCA) puncture site plaque, 95.2% 4-9 mm internal diameters, 95.8% >6 CCA diameter, 98.3% >5 cm clavicle bifurcation distance. Those female (OR, 5.967; 95% CI: 2.545-13.987; P < 0.001), an older age 1.226; 1.157-1.299; higher body mass index 1.462; 1.260-1.697; 0.001) prone associated ineligibility. In addition, 71 (33.0%) found combine incomplete CoW. A high risk CEA 29 (17.3%) eligibility, TF-CAS noted nine (19.1%) Overall, cranial nerve injury (CNI) 22 after CEA, while 19 them (11.3%) eligibility.A significant proportion meet criteria TCAR, making feasible treatment option China. Anatomic some play key roles Further analysis indicates potential reduction high-risk under procedure.
