ABSTRACT
This study examines the relationship between Hb, RDW and their association both short-term long-term mortality in patients with acute aortic dissection (AAD), aiming to establish combined effect Hb as a potential prognostic biomarker for AAD outcomes. We extracted clinical data from Medical Information Mart Intensive Care (MIMIC) databases this analysis. Using adjusted Cox regression Kaplan-Meier survival curve analyses, we assessed at admission multiple post-discharge intervals (30 days, 90 1 year, 5 years) among AAD. Additionally, subgroup analyses receiver operating characteristic (ROC) were conducted evaluate predictive accuracy of patient population. High low (RDW ≥ 13.60 < 7.9) significantly predicted increased 30 years post-diagnosis, hazard ratios (HRs) follows: 4.33 (95% CI: 1.82-10.33, P 0.001), 4.48 2.06-9.77, 3.38 1.70-6.70, 3.07 1.66-5.66, respectively. are abnormal (Hb level, high level) is positively correlated risk suggests that significant predictor population, highlighting its utility marker settings.
