ABSTRACT
The past decade has witnessed a breakthrough in the gas exploration of deep marine carbonates central Sichuan Basin. Deep faults research also attracted increasing attention, as faulting plays an important role reservoir control. Previous studies have suggested developed series high-angle strike-slip fault systems Basin, but correlated activities are limited, distribution rules and dynamic mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, spectral decomposition coherence method was used to describe geometric kinematic characteristics these faults. Using comprehensive analysis technique assess tectonic activity history, formation evolution processes their control on hydrocarbon were examined. results showed that system, mostly distributed Dengying Formation, can be divided into four stages, three levels, groups orientation, which controlled structural framework shape area, well zoning from north south, blocking west east. features layered deformation staged vertical direction. segmentation strongly controls quality fractured vuggy reservoirs. Reservoirs hard-linked zone most developed, followed by those soft-linked segments, with translational sections being relatively undeveloped. Strike-slip migration paths, multistage different controlling effects accumulation.
