ABSTRACT
Background: Gliomas are the most common intracranial malignant neoplasms and have high recurrence mortality rates. Recent literatures reported that centromere protein N (CENPN) participates in tumor development. However, clinicopathologic significance biological functions of CENPN glioma still unclear. Methods: Clinicopathologic data gene expression profiles cases downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Chinese Glioma (CGGA) databases were utilized to determine associations between clinical features glioma. Kaplan-Meier ROC curves plotted for prognostic analysis. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) single sample (ssGSEA) applied identify immune-related pathways associated with CENPN' differential expression. In vitro experiments conducted investigate impacts on human cells. Results: Elevated was unfavorable variables patients, which validated specimens obtained our institution by immunohistochemical staining (IHC). GSEA ssGSEA results revealed strongly correlated inflammatory activities, signaling infiltration immune Cell showed deficiency impaired cell proliferation, migration invasion ability increased apoptosis. Conclusion: could be a promising therapeutic target
