ABSTRACT
The demand by industries for large-seeded peanuts is increasing in Thailand and Southeast Asia. New peanut lines were recently developed to respond the demand. In this study, a multilocation yield trial was performed identify best genotype(s) Thailand’s central region investigate genotype–environment interaction (GEI) on production. Twelve promising two check varieties (KU50 KK6) planted at 12 different planting locations during dry rainy seasons of 2018 season 2019. This study found significant potential variability evaluated locations. A combined analysis variance presented that environment genotypes had considerable impact ( p < 0.001) pod seed yield. GEI showed high 0.01) an effect 0.05) most influence variations, followed genetics GEI. total variation 64.22%, composed PC1 PC2 values 45.71% 18.51%, respectively. GGE biplot potentials each location indicated KUP12BS029-1-1-3 ideal genotype, with stability multilocations, KUP12BS030-3-4-1 KUP12BS030-1-4-3. These will be released as new are recommended parental breeding programs
