ABSTRACT
Introduction NETosis, the mechanism by which neutrophils release extracellular traps (NETs), is closely related to inflammation. During allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), different stimuli can induce NETs formation. Inflammation and endothelial injury have been associated with acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) complications after allo-HSCT. We focus on study of NETosis its relation cytokines, hematological biochemical parameters clinical outcomes before, during Methods evaluate capacity plasma samples from allo-HSCT patients in a culture model. Plasma undergoing had stronger higher induction (NETsIC) than healthy donors throughout process. An optimal cut-off value ROC analysis was established discriminate between whose triggered (NETs+IC group) those who did not (NETs-IC group). Results Prior conditioning treatment, trigger significantly correlated Endothelial Activation Stress Index (EASIX) score. At day 5 transplant, positive NETsIC interleukin (IL)-6 C-reactive protein (CRP) levels also Modified EASIX score (M-EASIX) negative NETsIC. M-EASIX scores seek determine inflammation endothelium damage, therefore it could indicate heightened immune response group Cytokine levels, specifically IL-8 IL-6, increased peak reached 10 graft infusion. Only, IL-10 IL-6 were In our small cohort, early severe (before 15 transplant). Discussion Although itself, predict overall non-specific but clinically significant full patient admission. summary, be directly induced indicators severity, cytokines inflammatory markers.
