ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to explore the effects homocysteine (HCY) metabolism and related factors on early spontaneous abortion. We conducted a hospital-based case-control included total 500 cases 1,000 controls in Shaanxi China. Pregnant women waiting for delivery hospital were interviewed report their characteristics other relevant information during pregnancy. unconditional Logisitic regression model was applied assess association between abortion HCY factors. multiplicative interaction logit test method generalized structural equation (GSEM) used construct pathway diagram affecting Folic acid supplementation adequate folic periconception protective (OR = 0.50, 95% CI: 0.38-0.65; OR 0.44, 0.35-0.54). serum folate deficiency, higher plasma pregnancy, who carried MTHFR 677TT genotype risk 5.87, 1.53-22.50; 2.94, 1.14-7.57; 2.32, 1.20-4.50). women's educational level maternal child health care utilization affected occurrence by influencing periconception. or 677 gene polymorphism In terms risks abortion, there deficiency pregnancy 1.76, 1.17-4.03), 3.46, 2.49-4.81), 3.50, 2.78-5.18). above interactions are all synergistic. significantly increased if multiple existed at same time.
