ABSTRACT
Recent research on abundant and rare bacteria has expanded our understanding of bacterial community assembly. However, the relationships with antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) remain largely unclear. Here, we investigated biogeographical patterns assembly processes from river sediment at high altitudes (Lhasa River, China) their potential association ARGs. The results showed that were dominated by Proteobacteria (55.4%) Cyanobacteria (13.9%), while (33.6%) Bacteroidetes (18.8%) main components bacteria. Rare a large taxonomic pool can provide function insurance in communities. Spatial distribution persistent also exhibited striking differences. Strong selection environmental heterogeneity may lead to deterministic processes, which In contrast, affected latitude stochastic processes. Abundant had highest abundance metabolic pathways drug all predicted functional There was strong connection between these ARGs mobile genetic elements, could increase ecological risk taxa human disease. These insights into sedimental communities ecosystems.
