ABSTRACT
Leishmaniasis is a neglected tropical disease caused by protozoan parasites of the Leishmania genus. Despite efforts to control and treat disease, it still remains major public health problem in many countries. Synthetic biology rapidly evolving interdisciplinary field that combines biology, engineering, computer science design construct novel biological systems. In recent years, synthetic approaches have shown great promise for developing new effective strategies combat leishmaniasis. this perspective, we summarize advances use development vaccines, diagnostic tools, therapeutics
