ABSTRACT
Background The role of brain atrophy in cognitive decline related to cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) remains unclear. This study used AccuBrain™ identify major CSVD-related changes and verified the relationship between different cognition domains CSVD patients. Methods All enrolled 242 patients 76 healthy participants underwent magnetic resonance imaging examinations detailed neuropsychological scale assessments were collected at same time. technology was applied fully automated image segmentation, measurement, calculation acquired results obtain volumes partitions volume WMH for quantitative analysis. Correlation analyses estimate MRI features domains. Multifactor linear regression models performed analyze independent predictors MTA decline. Results exhibited multiple gray matter nucleus decreases basal ganglia regions lobes, including temporal lobe ( P = 0.019), especially medial p < 0.001), parietal 0.013), cingulate 0.036) compare HC.
