ABSTRACT
Although cognitive deficit is a common non-motor symptom of Parkinson's disease (PD), the mechanism and valid biomarkers it have not been identified. To our best knowledge, this was first study to investigate intrinsic dysconnectivity pattern whole-brain functional networks in early-stage drug-naive (ESDN) PD patients its association with using voxel-wise Degree Centrality (DC) approach.A total 53 ESDN healthy controls (HC) were recruited. Resting-state fMRI (rs-fMRI) data acquired, DC approach applied. Electrophysiological testing at P300 amplitude recorded. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) conducted evaluate performance.ESDN had lower MoCA scores amplitudes, but higher latency, than HC (all p < 0.0001). displayed right inferior frontal gyrus (IFG), left medial (MFG) precentral (PreCG); parietal lobule (IPL), temporal (ITG), occipital lobe, postcentral (PoCG) (pBonferroni correction Interestingly, values MFG, PoCG lobe negatively associated latency positively amplitudes pBonferroni 0.0001).Our results indicate abnormal brain network patients. damage Default Mode Network (DMN) may be contributes pathogenesis dysfunction PD.
