ABSTRACT
Recent studies have suggested a role for N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification in neurological diseases. Hypothermia, commonly used treatment traumatic brain injury, plays neuroprotective by altering m6A modifications. In this study, methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing (MeRIP-Seq) was applied to conduct genome-wide analysis of methylation the rat hippocampus Sham and injury (TBI) groups. addition, we identified expression mRNA after TBI with hypothermia treatment. Compared group, results group showed that 951 different peaks 1226 differentially expressed mRNAs were found. We performed cross-linking data two The result 92 hyper-methylated genes upregulated, 13 downregulated, 25 hypo-methylated 10 downregulated. Moreover, total 758 differential between Among these peaks, 173 altered reversed treatment, including Plat, Pdcd5, Rnd3, Sirt1, Plaur, Runx1, Ccr1, Marveld1, Lmnb2, Chd7. found transformed some aspects TBI-induced landscape hippocampus.
