ABSTRACT
Introduction At present, elucidating the cortical origin of EEG microstates is a research hotspot in field EEG. Previous studies have suggested that prefrontal cortex closely related to microstate C and D, but whether there causal link between or D remains unclear. Methods In this study, pretrial data were collected from ten patients with lesions (mainly located inferior middle frontal gyrus) fourteen matched healthy controls, analysis was applied. Results Our results showed four classical topographies obtained both groups, topography patient group obviously abnormal. Compared average coverage occurrence significantly reduced. addition, transition probability A B lower than those controls. Discussion The above demonstrated damage especially gyrus could lead abnormalities spatial distribution temporal dynamics not showing C. significance our findings lies providing new evidence for
