ABSTRACT
Modifications of protein post-translation are critical modulatory processes, which alters target biological activity, function and/or location, even involved in pathogenesis some diseases. So far, there at least 16 types modifications identified, particularly through recent mass spectrometry analysis. Among them, succinylation (Ksuc) on lysine residues causes a variety changes. Succinylation proteins contributes to many cellular processes such as proliferation, growth, differentiation, metabolism and tumorigenesis. Mechanically, leads conformation alteration chromatin or remodeling. As result, transcription/expression genes is changed accordingly. Recent research indicated that mainly modulations, from gene expression metabolic enzymes their activity modulation. In this review, we will conclude roles regulation glucose, fat, amino acids related disease launched by aberrant succinylation. Our goal stimulate extra attention these still not well researched perhaps important modification cell processes.
