ABSTRACT
Background Preoperative chemotherapy (PCT) has been considered an important treatment for advanced gastric cancer (AGC). The tumor regression grade (TRG) system is effective tool the assessment of patient responses to PCT. Pathological complete response (TRG = 0) primary excellent predictor better prognosis. However, which patients could achieve pathological after still unknown. study aimed find predictors TRG 0 in AGC. Methods A total 304 with from July 2009 November 2018 were enrolled retrospectively. All randomly assigned (2:1) training and internal validation groups. In addition, 124 AGC receiving PCT December June 2020 included prospectively external cohort. prediction model was established based on four group validated Results Through univariate multivariate analyses, we found that CA199, CA724, differentiation short axis largest regional lymph node (LNmax) independent 0. Based predictors, a AUC values training, groups 0.84, 0.73 0.82, respectively. Conclusions We LNmax associated cancer. provide guidance clinical work.
