ABSTRACT
To develop a risk stratification system that can predict axillary lymph node (LN) metastasis in invasive breast cancer based on the combination of shear wave elastography (SWE) and conventional ultrasound. A total 619 participants pathologically diagnosed with underwent ultrasound examinations were recruited from multicenter 17 hospitals China August 2016 to 2017. Conventional SWE features compared between positive negative LN groups. The regression equation, weighting, counting methods used metastasis. sensitivity, specificity, areas under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) calculated. significant difference was found Breast Imaging Reporting Data System (BI-RADS) category, "stiff rim" sign, minimum elastic modulus internal tumor peritumor region 3 mm groups (p < 0.05 for all). There no diagnostic performance > Using method, 0-4 grade four characteristics established, which yielded an AUC 0.656 (95% CI, 0.617-0.693, p 0.001), sensitivity 54.60% 46.9%-62.1%), specificity 68.99% 64.5%-73.3%) predicting developed BI-RADS categories, this has potential metastases cancer.
