ABSTRACT
Standard magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques are different to distinguish minimal fat angiomyolipoma (mf-AML) with from renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Here we aimed evaluate the diagnostic performance of MRI-based radiomics in differentiation fat-poor AMLs other neoplasms.A total 69 patients solid tumors without macroscopic and a pathologic diagnosis RCC (n=50) or mf-AML (n=19) who underwent conventional MRI intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted (IVIM-DWI) were included. Clinical data including age, sex, tumor location, urine creatinine, urea nitrogen collected medical records. The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), pure (D), pseudodiffusion (D*), perfusion fraction (f) measured tumors. We used ITK-SNAP software manually delineate regions interest on T2-weighted (T2WI) IVIM-DWI largest cross-sectional area tumor. extracted 396 features by Analysis Kit for each MR sequence. hand-crafted selected using Pearson correlation analysis least absolute shrinkage selection operator (LASSO). Diagnostic models built logistic regression analysis. Receiver operating characteristic curve was performed five-fold cross-validation mean under (AUC) values calculated compared between obtain optimal model RCC. Decision (DCA) clinical utility models.Clinical based creatinine achieved an AUC 0.802 (95%CI: 0.761-0.843). IVIM-based f value 0.692 0.627-0.757). T2WI-radiomics 0.883 0.852-0.914). IVIM-radiomics 0.874 0.841-0.907). Combined 0.919 0.894-0.944). Clinical-radiomics yielded best performance, 0.931 0.907-0.955). calibration DCA confirmed that clinical-radiomics had good consistency usefulness. The may be served as noninvasive tool differentiate RCC, which might facilitate decision-making process.
