ABSTRACT
Patients with colorectal cancer are at an increased risk of hemostatic disturbances, and recent studies have shown that coagulation disorders could be the first sign malignancy. Although coagulopathy is a significant cause cancer-related death disability, it usually underestimated, there has been no scientific evidence regarding exact burden its specific determinants. Moreover, public health importance among patients polyps not addressed. An institution-based comparative cross-sectional study was conducted on total 500 participants (250 patients, 150 polyp 100 controls) from January to December 2022. Venous blood collected for basic platelet analysis. Descriptive statistics non-parametric tests (Kruskal-Wallis Dunn-Bonferroni pairwise comparisons) were used compare parameters groups. The test results expressed as medians interquartile ranges. Binary logistic regressions fitted, statistical significance declared p-value less than 0.05, 95% CI.The prevalence 198 (79.2%; CI: 73.86, 83.64), while 76 (50.7%; 45.66, 54.34) patients. From final model, age between 61 70 (AOR = 3.13: 1.03, 6.94), > years 2.73: 1.08, 4.71), hypertension 6.8: 1.07, 14.1), larger tumor size 3.31: 1.11, 6.74), metastatic 5.8: 1.1, 14.7), BMI ≥30 kg/m2 3.8: 2.3, 4.8) positively associated coagulopathy. This showed major concern cancer. Therefore, existing oncology care efforts should strengthened prevent receive more attention.
