ABSTRACT
Primary endometrial squamous cell carcinoma (PESCC) is a rare malignant tumor. To investigate the clinical and pathological features of PESCC, two cases PESCC in Fujian Maternal Child Health Hospital were retrospectively studied literatures reviewed. Both menopausal women aged 57–62 years, clinically presenting with “vaginal discharge”. Case 1 was non-keratinising high-risk HPV infection. Tumor infiltrated deep myometrium multifocal intravascular thrombus macro metastases to one pelvic lymph node (1/15) abdominal aortic (1/1). Lung metastasis occurred 36 months after surgery. After surgical resection without postoperative supplemental therapy, patient remained tumor-free for 110 date. 2 had history breast cancer 5 years long-term intake aromatase inhibitor drugs It keratinized carcinoma. also (1/18), However, no seen elsewhere. date, survived 16 tumor expressed epithelial markers P40, P63, CK5/6, but neither PAX8 or PR. diffuse expression P16, wild-type P53, ER-negative. negative mutant focal positive ER. often associated infection low estrogen levels. studies have found that P16 not always consistent infection, indicating cannot be easily classified as HPV-associated non-dependent like cervical cancer. There are main patterns P53 expression, P16-positive/P53 P16-negative/P53-mutant, both has been so far. worth noting we reported second case cancer, where taking oral drug (exemestane) long period time reduce level, level may key factor pathogenesis PESCC.
