ABSTRACT
Background: Aframomum sp. is a genus of plants in the Zingiberaceae family. It includes several species, some which are used cosmetics for their various properties, making them useful skincare products, particularly anti-aging, moisturizing, and brightening skin. However, to date, there no experimental evidence on its natural extracts obtained or modified using microorganisms (bio-fermentation) as an anti-aging agent. Objective: The present study aimed evaluate antiaging effect Bio-fermented angustifolium (BAA) extract 3D bioprinted skin equivalent. Methods: consortium contained Komagataeibacter, Gluconobacter, Acetobacter, Saccharomyces, Torulaspora, Brettanomyces, Hanseniaspora, Leuconostoc, Lactobacillus, Schizosaccharomyces . was developed media containing water, sugar, infused black tea leaves. seeds previously grounded were mixed with culture medium, ferments growth; this fermentation step lasted 10 days. Then, medium collected filtered (0.22 µm) obtain BAA extract. To enhance our comprehension impact aging, we equivalents bio-printing methods presence absence keratinocyte stem cells (KSC). These derived from keratinocytes both middle-aged donor, without KSC. Moreover, examined effects treating KSC-depleted 5 Skin exhibited histological characteristics typical aged compared young donors. Results: specific organic acids such lactic, gluconic, succinic acid polyphenols. that treated higher specular reflection, indicating better hydration stratum corneum, mitotic activity epidermis basal layer, improved dermal-epidermal connectivity, increased rigidity junction non-treated equivalents. treatments also resulted changes at dermis level, increase total collagen decrease global laxity, suggesting could help maintain youthful-looking Conclusion: In summary, findings indicated have pleiotropic beneficial bio-fermentation provides new biological activities plant.
