Mechanisms underlying the anti-aging activity of bergamot (Citrus bergamia) extract in human red blood cells

Introduction: Aging is a process characterised by decline in physiological functions. Reactive species play crucial role the aging rate. Due to close relationship between and oxidative stress, functional foods rich phytochemicals are excellent candidates neutralise age-related changes. Aim: This investigation aims verify potential protective of bergamot ( Citrus bergamia , Femminello cultivar) peel juice extract model represented human red blood cells (RBCs) exposed D-Galactose (DGal).
