ABSTRACT
Purpose The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ability global inhomogeneity index (GI) and left-right asymmetry (AI) based on electrical impedance tomography (EIT) be used in assessing cerebral perfusion heterogeneity. diagnostic value these two indices identifying abnormalities degree heterogeneity also explored. Methods In study, Transcranial Doppler (TCD) as a control, unilateral carotid artery compressed change 15 healthy volunteers. control group consisted an additional volunteers without any intervention. EIT images were obtained by calculating difference between at beginning end vasodilation. Subsequently, GI AI calculated pixel values intracranial regions. Results non-carotid compression (NCAC) significantly lower than those (UCAC) (P < 0.001), whereas there no significant left (LCAC) right (RCAC) groups. ROC analysis showed that area under curve (AUC), specificity sensitivity distinguishing NCAC UCAC 0.94, 0.90 0.87, respectively. AUC, 0.86, 0.87 0.73, Conclusion results demonstrated effectively quantify distribution perfusion, demonstrating excellent validity interindividual comparability, detect abnormal
