ABSTRACT
Anthocyanins are water-soluble plant pigments mainly stored in the vacuoles. Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) a multifunctional enzyme family, which can regulate substance metabolism and biological abiotic stresses plants. However, few reports were focused on involvement of GSTs anthocyanin sequestration red skin radish. Here, we identified glutathione S-transferase gene RsGSTF12 that played roles The bioinformatics analysis revealed belonged to phi (F) class showed high homology with AtGSTF12, followed by AtGSTF11. subcellular localization assay was located endoplasmic reticulum tonoplast. Temporal spatial expression-specific analyses uncovered strong correlation accumulation radish sprouts. solubility found capable improving cyanidin water vitro . Transiently expressing cotyledons able increase their sequestrations. Furthermore, functional complementation overexpression Arabidopsis thaliana tt19 mutant wild type demonstrated might play an indispensable role Taken together, provide compelling evidence functions critically how anthocyanins sequestrated radish, may enrich our understanding mechanism sequestration.
