Effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy with yoga in reducing job stress among university lecturers

ABSTRACT
Introduction Job stress is highly prevalent in the workforce worldwide, and tends to threaten employees’ physical mental wellbeing, reducing organizational outcomes. The negative impacts of workplace on academics have been found disproportionately interfere with both institutional research productivity students’ learning This study analyzed data from a randomized control trial, validate effectiveness cognitive behavioral therapy combined yoga treating job-related among lecturers two Universities South-East, Nigeria. Methods Participants included 93 academic staff members Federal Enugu Ebonyi States We assigned participants Y-CBT ( N = 46) waitlist 47) groups using random sampling techniques. A 2-h program was delivered weekly for period 12 weeks. Two instruments were used collect study. Single Item Stress Questionnaire (SISQ) employed identify potential participants, while teachers’ Inventory (TSI) served collection at baseline, post-intervention, follow-up tests. Mean, standard deviations, t -test, statistics, repeated measures Analysis Variance, analyze Results revealed that perception stressors symptoms reduced significantly post-test assessments following intervention. Discussion conclusion outcomes this support prior valuable harmonizing mind body stable psychological state. can minimize manifestation university lecturers.
