ABSTRACT
Body composition is an important predictor of performance and a key component health physical fitness. Therefore, the purposes this study were to compare soccer referees first second divisions field assistant from Iran analyze associations body shape index (ABSI), adiposity (BAI), abdominal volume (AVI), roundness (BRI), conicity (ConI), mass (BMI) with fat percentage (%BF).A total 270 male (n = 124) 72) 74) participated in study. Skinfold thickness (measured at chest, biceps, triceps, subscapular, abdominal, iliac crest, front thigh), height, weight, hip circumference, waist circumference assessed evaluate waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), %BF, also ABSI, BRI, BAI, ConI, AVI according ISAK protocol. The main results indicated differences WHR, WHtR, AVI, BF% presenting higher values (p < 0.05). When considering backward selection model, there some %BF each group, specifically BMI, ABSI division; BMI referee group (all p 0.05).The present did not confirm hypothesis that first-division presented better composition-related variables than division or referees. Instead, it showed both tendency which suggests level major factor when analyzing composition.
