Introduction The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has posed a huge challenge to the career situation of college students. This study aimed understand mechanism underlying meaning in life on adaptability among students during COVID-19 pandemic. Methods A quantitative method was adopted. In total, 1,182 were surveyed using Meaning Life Questionnaire, Simplified Coping Style Adult General Hope Scale, and Career Adapt-Abilities Scale. Results There significant positive correlation between life, coping styles, hope, adaptability. Positive styles hope play separate mediating role chain role.
